Mobile Workshops will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 2:30pm - 5:00pm. Registration is required for Pre-Conference Field Trips and the cost is $10.00 + processing fees per attendee. Each Mobile Workshop will leave from the lower lobby of the Hilton Columbus Downtown.

The Quarry Project Tour:
Visit the Quarry Project also known as Project QT, which could lead to the 20th Metro Park in Central Ohio. Located within the City of Columbus on the west side of the Scioto River, between Griggs Dam and Downtown Columbus, this park will feature a remarkable landscape of deep quarried lakes - adjacent to the river - with changes in elevation and rocky outcrops that will provide endless fun and adventure for the residents of Central Ohio. Just 5 miles from downtown, you are transported to a lost land, a part of wild Ohio, with rugged rock cliffs, deep lakes and two miles of scenic riverfront, where you can mountain bike, kayak, rock climb, hike, run, and so much more. Additionally, this new park will provide a critical link in the Scioto Greenways regional bicycle trail system that will connect Downtown Columbus to Hilliard and on to Plain City. The tour will be right around 2.5 miles and make sure you are ready to get your feet wet and have plenty of water as there will be a couple steep climbs and a few streams that you might cross. We will be stopping at a few key features and fielding questions along the way.
Scioto Mile Paddle & Pedal:
Engage in the Columbus active lifestyle - by biking and paddling your way to the best views of the city. Explore 145 acres of urban oasis, bike trails and lanes, looping your way through the heart of the city. Public-private partnerships bring to life these amenities connecting neighborhoods, natural assets, and the built environment. Access the nation's largest outdoor free climbing wall, a cross-fit obstacle course, an urban Audubon Center oasis, fountains, public art, and more. Limited Availability of 15 people. Kayaks and Bikes will be provided.
Scioto Mile Paddle:
Enjoy paddling along the Scioto Greenway, located in the heart of downtown Columbus. The Scioto Greenway stretches from the vibrant Arena District to the natural beauty of the Whittier Peninsula, the Scioto Mile reconnects downtown to the Scioto River through an integrated systems of parks, boulevards, bikeways and pedestrian paths. The paddle is approximately 1.5 hours long and kayaks will be provided.
A Bike Ride through the City of Westerville along the Alum Creek & Ohio-to-Erie Trails
Join us for a bike ride along two Central Ohio Greenways Trails where riders will enjoy a scenic bike ride through the City of Westerville. Come learn about winter trail clearing, how to work trail through existing cities, and see a historic bridge! Attendees will take a bus ride from the Hilton Columbus Downtown to Westerville. The terrain is mostly flat with a few inclines and the anticipated distance is 5.5 miles.
